At Oak End Dental, it’s our policy to treat every patient with the same premium care and attention. Whether private or NHS, we take the time to explain your treatment options, and make sure you understand any fees.
NHS treatment is categorised into three bands. Charges apply to courses of treatment rather than each individual item or visit. Additional treatment is provided cost free if it is in the same band (or less) and within two months of completing a course of treatment.
URGENT

Treatment deemed necessary to alleviate toothache when not under a course of treatment.
BAND ONE

Dental examination, x-rays if needed, scale and polish if deemed clinically necessary by dentist, oral healthcare and prevention advice. Some fissure sealants. All items to diagnose and prevent decay.
BAND TWO
£73.50
All band one items PLUS fillings, root canals, tooth extractions, wisdom tooth extractions.
BAND THREE
£319.10
All bands one and two plus any laboratory work eg crown, bridge, inlay, dentures, Some treatments of missing teeth.
Exemptions
You are exempt from NHS dental charges if you fall into one of the following categories:
- Child under the age of 18
- Under 19 and in full time education
- Pregnant
- Had a baby in the last 12 months
- Income Support
- Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
- Income Related Employment & Support Allowance
- Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
- HC2 Certificate
- NHS Tax Credit Exemption Certificate
- Universal Credit
You are entitled to reduced NHS dental charges if you have a valid HC3 Certificate You are required to provide proof of exemption at EACH course of treatment.
